California Beach Vacations seem to provide the ideal getaway from the hectic rush of everyday life. California has a massive coast, so the beach awaits anyone who wants a California beach they won't forget.
It could just be one afternoon on the beach you want, getting some of that Pacific Ocean sea air into your lungs. Of course most people will travel for a vacation, so a half day won't be long enough, but you'ld be surprised how popular the 2 day or less stay is, although that's naturally mostly taken up by Californians.
Most locations will feature the usual entertainment you'ld expect to find in holiday destinations - the bars and clubs, the restaurants, the museums and the theme attractions. This means you can spend the days having some higher paced fun, and return to an evening of quiet time on the beach and magical sunsets.
One thing you'll tend to find on all these wonderful California beach vacations is the relaxed atmosphere, the fact that you can walk anywhere barefoot. Plus the Californian beach sunsets appear on posters on a regular basis - because they are special to see!
One notable feature of California is that within a short couple of hours' trip you could be on top of a 7,000 mountain - not many beach destinations offer that kind of variety!
Attractions like Disneyland and Seaworld are great for the kids, and if you can't decide whether they want to enjoy that type of holiday or a playing on the beach type one, you can combine the both! Most people pick one or the other though, maybe depending on the age of the children or the available budget for the trip.
In fact budget is never likely to be something stopping you from vacationing in California, the wide range of beach resorts offer accommodation for all prices, from 5 star to vacation rentals or even camping.
Of course many people go for beach vacations to enjoy the sea, from quieter pastimes like fishing and boating, to power boating and water skiing. Let's not forget the biggest association between California and the water - surfing!
It's the home of surfing in the US, and people gravitate there from all over the world - many locations on the coast are full of the classic surf lifestyle, so if that isn't your style, best to not pick a dedicated surf resort.
So as you can see, California beach vacations off the full variety of choice you'ld expect, and you could go back for year after year and have a different experience each time.
